Pat has been teaching Dressage for the last 25 years and obtained teaching certification from CHA the year she began teaching. She is a USDF Bronze Medalist who has attended and participated in many USDF Instructor Cerification workshops and completed Parts I and II of the USDF "L" program in 2018. She regularly judges schooling shows in the are for local Dressage clubs and Pony CLub.
She is currently gearing her 16.2 hd. Dutch warmblood Windsor Willow up for 3nd level after a 2 year haatus from showing. On Willow, Pat typically places in the top 3 in open (for professionals only) classes. In 2017's Ride For Life Competition put on by PVDA to raise money for breast cancer, Pat placed 2nd in two classes, and third and fourth in her other two classes. In 2017, Pat competed both Willow and Unforseen at 2nd level as well as another owner's horse at 3rd level. She also competed a sales horse in it's first time competing at 3rd level at a Recognized Competition, winning both classes. They were also high score winners at that level. This year, Pat added 7 yr. old Rosatella, an Oldenburg mare to the roster, competing her at her first Recognized show at First level.
Pat instructs a wide variety of students competing at Training level through 4th level and has worked successfully with a diverse selection of horses to include all types of warmbloods, Thoroughbreds, Standardbreds, Arabians, Morgans, Quarter horses, and once even a mule! She has a solid record of bringing out the best in her students which carries over into the show ring.
F.E.I. Rider and USDF certified instructor Becky Langwost-Barlow has been both mentor and great friend to Pat since the Chandlers first purchased Lucky Charm Farm. Likewise, German Beireiter and FEI trainer Britta Johnston as well as L Judge Carolyn Heath have trained, guided and encouraged Pat to pursue her judging education with the USDF "L" program. Other clinicians Pat has worked with consistently include German Beireiter and F.E.I. rider Silva Martin and Dutch warmblood breeder/F.E.I. rider Willy Arts. Pat continues to learn from a number of other FEI professionals because one can never stop learning about Dressage!
